I would like to see a full solution integrated into VLC 2.0 in future updates. Blu-ray support is still in experimental phase after all. Then you can open it like if it was a disc inserted in a Blu-ray player. If you have an ISO file, double click it so it mounts as a disc. Then you select Blu-ray, leave 'No disc menus' unchecked and browse for your Blu-ray player or folder backup. Then put your disc into Blu-ray disc drive (if your computer has no built-in BD drive, buy an external one). Step 1: Insert your BD disc Right-click the icon of the software on your desktop to open it. I’m still testing various fixes for this and will have a full How To when I’m able to get it to work. To play a Blu-ray, you have to go to Media->Open Disc. You need to choose VLC compatible video format as output format, like MP4 Video from Format > Common Video group. Watching Blu-ray movies instead of using VLC is incredibly easy, and you can follow along with the instruction below. But I was able to play Blu-ray discs that I burned for backup since the copy protection is removed. While browsing forums I also found people that have had success using DVDFab Passkey. According to the VLC site you need to download a couple of files (not included) and add them to the VLC directory on your system. I tried to get the “experimental” Blu-ray support to work with VLC 2.0 on my Windows machine. If you have a jailbroken iDevice, you can still get it via Cydia. It would be nice to see an update and integration of VLC 2.0 with an iOS version. It’s unfortunate that Apple pulled the VLC app from the App Store due to license disputes.
